New untouched caves discovered in Quang Binh province

Twelve new caves where humans have never set foot in were recently discovered in the central province of Quang Binh by experts from the British Cave Research Association.

Hanoi (VNA) –Twelve new caves where humans have never set foot in were recently discoveredin the central province of Quang Binh by experts from the British Cave ResearchAssociation.

With a total length of more than 10km, the cavesalso feature underground rivers and are completely pristine, according toexperts.

The three caves found in Bo Trach district areDoc Co (554.6m long), End Cave (51.5m) and Dry Vom (413m).

Four caves in Quang Ninh district are Nuoc Ngam(3,872m), Nuoc Lan 3 (1,919m), Hung Thoai (460m) and Coincidental Cave (100m).

The other five were discovered in Minh Hoadistrict, namely Three Horned Viper (194.8m), Phu Nhieu 4 (2,012m), Cha Ra(314m), Thoang Lip (137m) and Ma Lon (463m).

Quang Binh is dubbed the "kingdom ofcaves" with hundreds of caves of various sizes as well as incrediblemountain scenery and sprawling beaches.

Notably, it is home to Son Doong Cave,which was accredited as the world’s largest and most beautiful natural cave bythe World Records Union and the World Records Association, as well asthe UNESCO World Heritage Site Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park./.
