The aid, worth 335 million VND, isprovided by the company Diageo Vietnam as part of its efforts to improvethe quality of life in Vietnam in coordination with the East Meets West(EMW) foundation.
Director of Diageo Vietnam Stephane Griponsaid the systems will provide drinking water for 4,700 students tominimise the risks of unhygienic water.
The company and itspartners have also organised training and improved students and theirparents’ awareness of environmental hygiene.
An EMW officialsaid the aid and training courses aim to help the students and theirfamilies develop hygienic habits at home and in school, and reduceillness in the community.
This is the third time DiageoVietnam and the EMW foundation have presented water filter systems tolocal schools, helping a total of 41 schools and over 28,000 students.-VNA
