The central province of Ninh Thuan made public its socio-economicdevelopment master plan to 2020, which gives priority to six sectors ofenergy, tourism, agro-forestry-fisheries, and processing.
Addressing the conference in Phan Rang-Thap Cham city on December 10,Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Ninh Thuan has great potentials fordevelopment, particularly wind and solar energies, tourism and saltproduction.
Therefore, in Vietnam ’s marine strategy,Ninh Thuan is expected to become an economic hub in the south centraland Central Highlands region, he said, adding that the province hasbeen selected to house the country’s two first nuclear power plants.
“This is a good opportunity for Ninh Thuan province to create a breakthrough in its development,” PM Dung noted.
He recommended that the province improve its investment environment,assist investors and invest in human resources to meet demands in thenext period.
On the same day, Prime Minister Dung inspected a project to build the province’s coastal road./.
