Hanoi (VNA) – The ninth session of the National Assembly (NA) will open at the NA Hall in Hanoi on May 20, the NA announced in a statement on May 19.
The statement said the session will be held in the form of video conference in combination with plenary meeting. The session will be divided into two phases, with the first phase from May 20 to May 29 held in the form of video conference. The second phase is from June 8 to 18 during which deputies will gather for meetings at the NA Hall.
On May 19 morning, leaders of the Party, State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and NA deputies who will be attending video conferences at the NA Hall laid a wreath and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
At 8:30 the same day, the NA convened an online preparatory session to discuss and approve the programme of the 9th session.
The opening of the 9th NA session will be broadcast live on national television and radio./.
