Of the total, 1,603are domestically-transmitted cases, including 910 infections since the thirdwave of outbreaks hit the country on January 27.
The MoH’s MedicalService Administration reported that as many as 2,359 have been given theall-clear from the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 so far.
The death toll fromthe disease was still kept at 35, the administration said.
Among active patientsundergoing treatment at medical establishments across the country, 18 testednegative for the virus once, 15 twice and 35 thrice.
A total of 27,478people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or entered Vietnam frompandemic-hit regions are being quarantined nationwide, including 498 inhospitals, 18,870 at concentrated facilities and 8,110 at their residences.
According to theNational Expanded Immunisation Programme, an additional 1,473 people receivedCOVID-19 vaccine shots on April 1, bringing the total number of vaccinatedpeople to 51,216.
