Party building has become an extremely vital task of the whole nation to ensure the Party’s leadership and the existence of the socialist regime, Politburo member and standing member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee Le Hong Anh said at a workshop in Hanoi on January 28.
In the coming years, opportunities and challenges posed by regional, global and domestic situations will call for enhanced Party leadership, combative capacity, firm political ideology, a high degree of unanimity in will and actions, pure ethics and lifestyles, and close-knit relationships among the people, continued Anh.
It is also necessary to renovate methods to popularise the Party ideology and theory; develop Party membership; improve Party discipline; and prevent corruption and waste, particularly as the country pushes forward with industrialisation, modernisation and international integration, he added.
He called on all Party members and State officials to work tirelessly to prevent degrading political awareness, ethics and lifestyle, while studying and following the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples to build a pure and strong Party.
The 85-year history of the Party has confirmed it is the intelligence, skill, courage, sacrifice, solidarity and indefatigable efforts of all Party members that contributed to the country’s glorious revolutionary victories as well as increasing its global position, he said, citing creative application and development of the Marxism-Leninism theory into reality as one of the key factors behind the CPV growth and relevancy.
