Hanoi (VNA) – The 12th Party Central Committee on July 6 heard the Politburo’s proposal on candidates for top positions at State agencies to be submitted to the new National Assembly’s first session.

The committee’s members then discussed the proposal in groups.

At the 13th National Assembly’s 11th session held in late March and early April this year, NA deputies elected and approved the posts of president, prime minister, NA chairperson and 34 other leaders of State agencies, introduced by the Party Central Committee at its second plenum.

At the current plenum, the Party Central Committee will not discuss the already appointed positions. They will focus on the candidates for the remaining 13 positions that were not introduced at the previous plenum.

Also on July 6, which was the third working day of the 12th Party Central Committee’s third plenum, the committee discussed draft regulations on the enforcement of the Party Statute and draft rules on Party inspections, supervision and discipline work.-VNA
