Hanoi (VNA) – The 12th Party Central Committee mulled over the socio-economic development scheme for 2016-2020 on March 11, the second working day of its second plenum.

​The morning session, chaired by Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, also covered the State budget and public investment plans for the next five years.

In the afternoon, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Dinh The Huynh presided over the session.

Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Committee’s Organisation Commission delivered the Politburo’s report introducing nominees for senior managerial positions in State-run agencies, which will be submitted to the 13th National Assembly for approval or election during its 11 th meeting.
