Party chief sends message to leader of Mexican Labour Party

Hanoi (VNA) – General Secretary of theCommunist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a message to General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party (PT) Alberto Anaya Gutiérrez, on the occasion of theannual 25th international seminar themed “Parties and a new society”held by the PT from October 21-23.

On the significance of the event, Trongstressed that throughout 25 years of establishment and development and thanks to great efforts by the PT and the Mexican General Secretary, the seminar has reallybecome a meaningful and important forum attracting a large number of left-wingand progressive forces in the Latin America and the world, contributing to thecommon struggle for peace, national liberation, democracy, cooperation,development and social progress.

The Vietnamese Partychief expressed his sincere thanks to the PT, left-wing and progressive partiesin the Latin America and Caribbean as well as fraternal political parties inthe world for standing side by side with the CPV in the past fight for nationalliberation as well as the national construction and defence at present.

He affirmed his wish tofurther deepen the friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the CPV and the PT,as well as political parties, left-wing and progressiveorganisations in Mexico, the Latin America and the world./.

Senior military, public security officers promoted to higher ranks
