Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception for a delegation from the Commission for External Relations of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) in Hanoi on September 24.

Head of the LPRP Commission for External Relations Sunthon Sayachak briefed the host of the talks between the two Party Commissions for External Relations, saying the two commissions will work closely with other Party and State agencies to actualise efficiently Party and State agreements for deepened relations.

​She said that Laos will do its best to preserve and foster the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong praised the two Party Commissions for External Relations for working actively to step up Vietnam-Laos special solidarity.

He said he hopes the agencies will coordinate tightly in both bilateral and multilateral issues, increase the sharing of information and experience, and boost the monitoring of the implementation of high-level agreements between the two Parties and countries.

The Party chief vowed that Vietnam will do her utmost to nurture the special solidarity with Laos in a practical manner across sectors, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Earlier on the same day, the two Party Commissions for External Relations held talks, discussing newly-emerging regional and international issues, and agreeing to reinforce their coordination in information update and experience sharing and instruct cooperation and exchanges between mass organisations of the two countries.-VNA

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
