Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has expressed his hope thatscholars and scientists will continue to undertake studies of Vietnamand share experiences with the country in state management andleadership.

He made the remarks in Hanoi onNovember 27 at a reception for visiting scholars from 28 countries andterritories, who are attending an international conference on Vietnamesestudies.

Presentations at the conference illustratethe special attention and precious support that the scientists offer,as well as public opinions of Vietnam, he noted.

Trong thanked the delegates for their contributions to Vietnam’sdevelopment path, which will aid the international community’sunderstanding of the country’s renewal process, history, culture, landand people.

On this path, Vietnam highly valuesthe scientists’ ideas, evaluations and positive contribution to thecountry’s policy making and implementation, he affirmed.

Delegates said that the conference is valuable not only to Vietnam but also to those who study the country.

They affirmed that Vietnam’s experience in development will becomea source of reference for developing countries and internationalresearchers.

They said they believe that under the leadership ofthe Party, the Vietnamese people will continue to reap achievementsduring its international integration and sustainable development.-VNA
