Ninh Binh (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s speech at the first meeting of the Sub-committee for personnel affairs of the 14th National Party Congress has drawn great attention from officials and Party members in the northern province of Ninh Binh, who showed their confidence in the preparations in the field through the Party leader’s directions.
Dao Thi Anh Tuyen, former head of the Ninh Binh Party Committee’s Commission for Communications and Information held that the selection of personnel for the Party Committees at all levels are being conducted carefully with a high sense of responsibility from all officials and Party members.
Tuyet said that Party members and officials have strongly supported the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Party leader’s anti-corruption efforts.
She held that in any position, officials must firmly maintain their political mettle and morality, deserving the trust of the Party. This is also the expectation of all Party members and officials, she added.
The former official underlined that it is necessary to choose young, competent, responsible, and well-trained officials to the Party Central Committee, with the selection process conducted with impartiality, objectivity, responsibility, and without group interests and individualism.
She said she hopes the Party Central Committee and Politburo will come up with more specific and drastic measures in selecting leadership officials, thus choosing officials capable of successfully realising the 14th National Party Congress’ Resolution and accelerating the country’s reform.
Sharing Anh’s ideas, Hoang Xuan Khuyen, former Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh, asserted that officials, Party members, and people are confident at the leadership policies and orientations of the Party Central Committee, especially in diplomacy and socio-economic development. However, many have shown concern about the quality of officials.
Khuyen quoted Party General Secretary Trong’s speech as saying that a number of leadership and management officials have shown low prestige and capacity and violated working regulations.
He said he hopes at the upcoming 14th National Party Congress, the personnel selection and organisation will be done fairly, strictly, and carefully to ensures officials with enough virtue and talent, and political mettle are placed in key positions from the local to central level./.
