A national conference to kick-start an action programme on implementing the Resolution made at the 11th National Party Congress on mobilisation work took place in Hanoi on February 23.

The General Secretary of the Central Committee’s Ideology Council, Nguyen Viet Thong, highlighted the significance and success of the 11 th National Party Congress – an important political event for the country in 2011.

Thong said that to implement the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress on mass mobilisation work, the whole sector needs to clearly define the responsibilities of collectives and individuals as well mechanisms and organisations in the political system, improve efficiency, and enhance the national unity.

Authorities at all levels, State agencies and the armed forces need to mobilise people and make practical contributions to settle emerging issues at grass root levels, he said.

He added that agencies and departments should seek new forms of mobilisation to attract overseas Vietnamese and win support from international friends for the country’s socio-cultural and economic development activities, expose hostile forces’ erroneous and reactionary arguments that aim to destroy national unity and the country’s renewal process.

The conference also heard that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organisations have increased their operation efficiency and implemented the national great unity policy on the spirit of diversifying and expanding all forms of mobilising people.

It emphasised the necessity for the Party Committees at all levels, authorities, socio-political organisations and the Mobilisation Committee continue to build and implement the democratic regulations at grass roots level together with fighting corruption, waste and bureaucracy, building a strong and pure Party and State as well as fostering and effectively utilising political cadres in mobilisation work./.
