Hanoi (VNA) – At least 10 people were killed when a small plane crashed into a house in the north of Manila, the Philippines, on March 17, local authorities have said.

Spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Eric Apolonio said the twin-engine aircraft, operated by Lite Air Express, crashed on a residential area a few minutes after it took off for Laoag City in Ilocos Norter province.

All six people, including the two pilots aboard the plane, were killed while police said the plane crashed into a house and erupted in flames, taking the lives of three children and two women in the house.

All flights run by Lite Air Express are suspended in service of investigations.-VNA
