Hanoi (VNA) - The photo exhibition “Ha Noi Trong Toi” (Hanoi in My Heart) has returned to the capital with the theme “Tu hao Thang Long - Ha Noi” (Proud of Thang Long - Hanoi), to celebrate the city’s 1010th anniversary.

This 15th holding was launched at national historic relic Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) on October 8 and is also part of a series of events marking the 66th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954) and the 17th municipal Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

The exhibition features 70 photos capturing major events and historic moments in Hanoi and depicting the beauty of its natural surroundings and relics, such as Tran Quoc Pagoda, O Quan Chuong - the former eastern entrance to the citadel, and Quan Thanh Temple.

It also offers the audience a glimpse of modern Hanoi, which has been experiencing robust growth and global integration in terms of culture and economics, with photos giving a breath-taking bird’s-eye view of Dong Tru - Vietnam’s first concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge, and Nhat Tan Bridge - its largest cable-stayed bridge and a symbol of the friendship with Japan.

Also on display are photos telling stories of Hanoi in the time of COVID-19. Some capture empty spaces when the city imposed weeks-long social distancing orders to stem the spread of the virus, as well as Hanoians’ beautiful acts of kindness to help those in need.

The exhibition will run through October 14./.
