Phu Tho police detain three in drug-smuggling case
Police in the northern midland province of Phu Tho have detained three men and seized 7kg of methamphetamine smuggled from the northwestern border province of Dien Bien.

The men are Lo Van Quan, 35; Lo Van Thuy, 39; and Vi Van Kinh, 42. They all are from Dien Bien province’s Dien Bien district.
They were caught while trafficking the meth, hidden in powdered milk cans, at a coach station in Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province, on March 15.
The men confessed that they had been hired by a woman in Dien Bien to transport the drug for 35 million VND (nearly 1,500 USD).
The case is under further investigation./.
