Vietnamese students gather in sport festival in RoK

Seoul (VNA) - The 11th Sport Festival for Vietnamese Students in Korea (SFVSAK11-2018) took place in Hannam University of theRepublic of Korea on August 11-12.

Hosted by the Associationof Vietnamese Students in the RoK with the support of the Vietnamese Embassy inthe country, the event aims to celebrate 26 years of Vietnam-RoK diplomaticties.

SFVSAK11-2018attracted 800 Vietnamese students studying in universities across the RoK, whocompeted in football, table tennis, badminton, tug of war, and chess and asport beauty queen contest.

The annual festival offers a playing field for students and promotes unityamong Vietnamese students in the RoK, thus introducing Vietnamese students to Koreanand international friends.

Vietnamese chargé d’affaires in the RoK Tran Truong Thuy praised the Associationof Vietnamese Students for its efforts in organising events of this kind overthe last 11 years.

On the occasion, representatives of donors presented scholarshipsand gifts to the event’s best performers, those with excellent studyachievements and disadvantaged students.-VNA
