Hanoi students win four gold medals at Int’l Science Competition

Thirty-nine secondary school students of Hanoi have been honoured at the International Science Competition 2019 (ISC 2019), which was held in Bogor, Indonesia from October 24 – 27, according to the municipal Department of Education and Training.

Hanoi (VNA) – Thirty-nine secondary school students of Hanoi have been honoured at theInternational Science Competition 2019 (ISC 2019), which was held in Bogor, Indonesia from October24 – 27, according to the municipal Department of Education and Training.

The students,from Trung Vuong and Ngo Si Lien Secondary Schools in Hoan Kiem district, wonfour gold, ten silver and 14 bronze medals, along with 11 honourable mentions at the first edition ofthe competition.

The four goldmedals went to Kieu Hoang Yen, Nguyen Thu Nhat Anh and Ha Quoc Anh from Ngo Si Lien Secondary School andDoan Phuc Dang Nguyen from Trung Vuong Secondary School.

Notably, ateam of four students from Trung Vuong School grabbed a trophy for the best robot performance in theUpper Primary category.

Thecompetition featured individualand team events. In theindividual contest, competitors had to answer 30 multiple-choice and eight essay questions in90 minutes, while the teams were tasked with programming their robots with a mission to rescue a wounded bear./.
