Former State President honoured with 65-year party membership badge

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, State President Luong Cuong presented the badge to former President Tran Duc Luong, recognising his remarkable contributions to the Party and the nation’s revolutionary cause.

Hanoi (VNA) – Former Politburo member and former State President Tran Duc Luong was honoured with the 65-year Party membership badge at a ceremony in Hanoi on February 3.

The ceremony, which was held on the occasion of the 95th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – 2025), saw the attendance of State President Luong Cuong.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Cuong presented the badge to Luong, recognising his remarkable contributions to the Party and the nation’s revolutionary cause.

President Cuong affirmed that that this is not only an honour for Luong and his family but also a source of pride for the Party organisations and party cell where he has served.

During 65 years since admission to the Party, regardless of his position, Luong always upheld the pioneering and exemplary nature of a Party member, was loyal to the Party and the Fatherland, wholeheartedly served the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation, fulfilled assigned tasks, earning the trust and respect of the Party, the State, and the people, President Cuong noted.

Wishing Luong and his family good health, happiness, and longevity, Cuong expressed his hope that the former State leader will continue to contribute to the Party, the State, and the nation’s revolutionary cause/.
