In Trap hamlet, Cu M'gar commune, Cu M'gar district, on these days, the Party flags and the national flags are flying along the 1km-long main road leading to the hamlet centre. The road was decorated to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025, with nearly every household hanging the national flag, and the Party flag in front of its home.
As the younger generation of Trap hamlet, H'Hang Eban shared that when the Secretary of the Party cell and the head of the hamlet introduced and implemented the flag road project, the youth in the locality were very excited.
Hanging the flags along the roads makes them more beautiful, contributing to the hamlet's more spacious and orderly appearance, she said, adding that this deed helps her have a deeper understanding of the revolutionary tradition, a stronger love for the homeland, and greater pride in and appreciation for the values of independence and freedom.
Not only in Trap, but so far, the National Flag Road model has been rolled out across 11 hamlets in Cu M'gar commune.
Turning the model into a movement
In Quang Tien commune, Cu M'gar district, the model has been implemented since 2016. Initially, the flag road was piloted in Tien Thinh hamlet, and later expanded to others in Quang Tien commune. Not only have they built the flag roads, but the people have also planted trees and worked together to set up streetlights.
Nguyen Van Thanh, a resident of Tien Thinh hamlet, shared that every holiday and Tet, local people are excited to bring out the flags and hang them. This year, his family has hung the flags starting from January 15 to celebrate the Lunar New Year and mark the 95th founding anniversary of the Party (February 3, 1930 - 2025).
According to him, hanging the flags early makes the spring atmosphere even more lively, brings joy to the family, and fills them with pride for Vietnam and its people.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the district Party Committee Nguyen Thien shared that the model has become a movement, which is actively embraced and implemented by localities, thus contributing to awakening national pride and promoting the emulation movement for socio-economic development. Furthermore, the implementation of the model not only enhances the environment, making it greener, cleaner, and more beautiful, but also educates the younger generation about revolutionary traditions, helping to spread an atmosphere of joy among the people during holidays and festivals.
In celebration of the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress, the national flag roads also create favourable conditions for disseminating this significant event./.
