Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The centralprovince of Khanh Hoa has completed preparations for the 2017 Khanh Hoa-NhaTrang Sea Festival slated for June 10-13.

The provincial People’s Committee hasdecided on 50 activities for the festival, which is outlined atwww.nhatrangfestival.vn and several central and local publications.

The province has also worked with the VietnamNational Administration of Tourism and 15 centrally-run cities and provinces topromote the festival on local websites.

The opening and closing ceremonies and majoractivities of the festival will be held at the April 2 Square, where a10,000-seater stand is being constructed.

Local police, fire fighting, border guardand military forces have devised plans to ensure political security and socialorder and safety for the festival.

The province has also paid attention to ensuringfood and traffic safety, providing healthcare for festival goers andstabilising prices of hotels, tourism services and consumption products.

The biennial festival is estimated to cost morethan 28 billion VND (1.23 million USD), of which 17.3 (761,000 USD) will befunded by enterprises. -VNA
