The thoughts and moral example of President Ho Chi Minh were a great andvaluable spiritual asset of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) andthe nation, eternally lighting up the country’s revolutionary cause tofinal victory.
The remark was made by the Nhan dan(People’s) newspaper, the official organ of the CPV, in its editorialrun on May 19 in celebration of the 121 st birthday of Uncle Ho and 100years of his departure to the world to seek ways to national salvation(June 5, 1911-2011).
President Ho Chi Minh devotedall of his life to the cause of national liberation and construction,the editorial said, adding that realising his sacred last instructions,the CPV has raised high its firm political spirit, been consistent withthe goal of national independence and socialism, and considered theMarxism-Leninism and the Ho Chi Minh thoughts as the foundation andguidelines for its action.
The Party initiated and has beenleading the national renewal process, recording achievements ofhistorical significance, the paper said.
Theeditorial called on all cadres, Party members and people of all stratato grasp thoroughly policies in documents presented at the 11 thNational Party Congress, regularly study and follow the moral example ofPresident Ho Chi Minh, and strive for the goal of a strong country withhealthy people and a democratic, fair and civilised society.
On the occasion, major newspapers in the country such as the Quan doiNhan dan (People’s Army), Ha Noi Moi (New Hanoi) and Saigon Giai phong(Liberated Saigon) run editorials and articles affirming the wholepeople’s commitment to following Uncle Ho’s path to make Vietnam moreprosperous and beautiful as he had recommended./.
