An agreement to launch a project of social integration for people withdisabilities through developing and enhancing links of disabled people’sassociations was signed in Hanoi on April 23.
The project waslaunched by the Vietnam Federation on Disability (VFD), the Irish AidProgramme in Vietnam and Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Vietnam.
Underthe agreement, the project will be carried out in Hanoi and the threecentral provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Nam and Binh Dinh in threeyears.
It aims to create an equal access to socio-economicservices for the disabled, helping them participate actively in socialactivities.
In addition, the project encourages disabled peopleassociations to give opinions to and proposals relating to policiesimplementing the Government’s national project 1019 on supporting andensuring interests of people with disabilities.-VNA
