The Ministry of Public Security officially launched its website on August 16.
The website aims to raise public awareness about the country's regulations and to keep local citizens up to date about information relating to the sector's activities.
"Information related to the sector will be regularly updated to provide viewers with the latest information, particularly information relating to the sector's activities and the country's policies, regulations and laws," said Nguyen Duc Dung, head of the website's media centre.
The website would allow people to connect and narrow the communication gap between the ministry and provincial police. This would in turn support the ministry's management activities, said Minister Le Hong Anh.
"The website will serve as an interaction point between police and people because readers will be able to directly raise questions on the site about law-related issues," Anh said.
The website can be found at http://www.mps.gov.vn./.
