Quang Binh inaugurates foreign service information facility
A foreign service information facility was inaugurated at the Cha Lo International Border Gate in the central province of Quang Binh on October 20.
Quang Binh inaugurates foreign service information facility (Source:VNA)Sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and the provincial People’s Committee, the 3.5 billion VND (159,000 USD) centre is equipped with modern facilities, aiming to assist dissemination work in the area.
Deputy Minister of MIC Truong Minh Tuan said the project would help disseminate the Party’s guidelines, the State’s laws and policies and Vietnam’s foreign affairs policies, as well as the country’s traditional cultural values, to neighboring countries and international friends.
Tuan added that the initiative would also increase people’s awareness about protecting the country’s border sovereignty and territory.
Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tien Hoang said the project was a practical model, helping Quang Binh provide foreign and internal affairs news with a view to attracting investors to the province.
Hoang also asked relevant authorities to strengthen co-operation in management and operation works in a bid to increase the project’s efficiency in the time ahead.-VNA
