Quang Ninh boosts tourism with numerous events

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The northern province of Quang Ninh, home to world heritage site Ha Long Bay, has planned a slew of tourism programmes and events, aimed at luring more visitors, according to a local official.

The province will organise 170 cultural, sporting, and tourism events between April and September, with 24 at international, national, and provincial levels and 146 local activities, Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, told a meeting on April 1.

According to the official, many events will debut in Quang Ninh, promising fresh and exhilarating experiences for visitors.

Ha Long will host numerous events, notably Ha Long Summer Tourism Week 2025 with main activities to take place on the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

A highlight is Ha Long Carnaval 2025 scheduled for May 1 in Bai Chay ward, Ha Long city, bringing together thousands of artists, including those from foreign countries.

Other activities include a vibrant masquerade ball, flash mob performances, interactive booths for costume experiences, body painting, and personalised mask-making—ensuring a truly immersive and unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The province expects to welcome 20 million visitors this year./.
