The police of Ha Long city, the northern province of Quang Ninh, has decided to start legal proceedings in a criminal case of illegally transporting endangered and rare animals.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The police of Ha Long city, the northern province of Quang Ninh, hasdecided to start legal proceedings in a criminal case of illegally transportingendangered and rare animals.

On January 7, aschecking a passenger car, the police discovered five dead frozen Panthera tigistigers, listed as the endangered and rare animal needing protection, and threeMacaca leonine monkeys, 30kg of pangolin scale and 20 teeth of carnivorousanimals.

They were transportedby Hoang Dinh Quan, born in 1990, a resident in Tang Thanh commune, Yen Thanhdistrict of central Nghe An province.
