Quang Ninh to resume commercial flights with Ho Chi Minh City from October 27

Flights between Van Don (the northern province of Quang Ninh) and Ho Chi Minh City will be resumed on October 27 after interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

QuangNinh (VNA) – Flights between Van Don in the northern province of Quang Ninh and HoChi Minh City will be resumed on October 27 after interruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Specifically, from October 27, there will be three flights a week on the route operated by Bamboo Airways, on Mondays, Wednesdays,  and Saturdays.

The flights will take off at 3.5pmfrom HCM City and 6.10pm from Van Don.

VietjetAir will also restart the operation of flights between the two destinations with the frequency of one flight a day from October 31.  Flights will take off at 3.50pm from HCM Cityand 6.45pm from Van Don.

To meet the pandemic prevention and control regulations, passengers departingfrom Tan Son Nhat airport in HCM City are required to have a negativetest result for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR method or quick antigen test with validityno more than 72 hours from departure time.

Meanwhile, passengerstravelling from Van Don need to meet one of the three conditions, either having been fully vaccinated for over 14 days, or having recovered from COVID-19 within the previous six months or testing negative for COVID-19 within 72 hoursbefore departure.

Theresumption of the commercial flights on Van Don – HCM City is to meet travelneeds between the above-mentioned localities in the context that the Governmentallows the reopening of regular domestic air routes to ensure safe, flexible adaption to andeffective control of COVID-19./.

Currently, the private economic sector comprises over 6.1 million business establishments, including approximately 940,000 registered enterprises and over 5.2 million household businesses.
