Reference exchange rate bounces back on December 27

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,322 VND/USD on December 27, up 12 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,322 VND/USD on December 27, up 12 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,538 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,106 VND/USD.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw mixed changes.

At 8:19am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,238 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,538 VND/USD, both up 13 VND from December 26.

Meanwhile, BIDV decreased the buying rate by 12 VND to 25,218 VND/USD, but raised the selling rate by 13 VND to 25,538 VND/USD./.
