Reference exchange rate continues upward trend

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,228 VND/USD on October 21, up 15 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,228 VND/USD on October 21, up 15 VND from the last working day of the previous week.

At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates saw decreases.

At 8:29am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 24,990 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,350 VND/USD, both down 30 VND from October 18.

VietinBank also cut both rates by 40 VND, posting the buying rate at 24,970 VND/USD and the selling rate at 25,330 VND/USD./.
