Reference exchange rate up 2 VND on March 16

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set thedaily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 23,188 VND/USD on March 16,up 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of  +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,883 VND/USD VND/USDand the floor rate 22,493 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial banks sawonly slight fluctuations.

At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,720VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,030 VND/USD, unchanged from March 15.

BIDV cut 5 VND from both rates, listing the buyingrate at 22,750 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,030 VND/USD (selling)./.
