Reference exchange rate up 8 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,646 VND/USD on February 24, up 8 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,646 VND/USD on February 24, up 8 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,878 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,414 VND/USD.

At 8:27am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 25,340 VND/USD and the selling rate 25,700 VND/USD, down 10 from February 21.

Meanwhile, BIDV raised both rates by 30 VND, listing the buying rate at 25,350 and the selling rate at 25,710 VND./.
