Reference exchange rate up 8 VND on March 15

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate for the US dollar at 23,186 VND/USD on March 15, up 8 VND fromthe previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercialbanks during the day is 23,881 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,491 VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rates at commercial banks also went up.

At 8:30 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,720 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,030 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from March 14.

BIDV raisedboth rates by 10 VND to 22,755 VND/USD (buying) and 23,035 VND/USD (selling)./.
