Regional audit leaders’ meeting wraps up

Participants at the 42nd meeting of the Executive Board of the ASOSAI have agreed to increase transparency of regional institutions.
Participants at the 42nd meeting of the Executive Board of the AsianOrganisation of Supreme Auditing Institutions (ASOSAI) have agreed toincrease transparency of regional institutions.

At the closing session in Hanoi on August 5, participants at thetwo-day meeting also made suggestions on a draft report on ASOSAIstrategic plan for the 2011-2015 period.

The plan aims to improve professional skills and boost cooperation between ASOSAI members.

They also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation with European Organisation of State Audit Institutions.

ASOSAI President Tanwir Ali Agha said all members in the organisationneed to learn more and improve human management capacity in order toassist the organisation to develop further.

The next meeting of ASOSAI’s Executive Board will be held in Turkey in September, 2011./.

Thanking President Ndayishimiye and the Burundi Government for supporting the effective operation of Lumitel, the telecommunications joint venture of Vietnam’s Viettel Group in Burundi, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung proposed that Burundi continue facilitating Lumitel’s participation in e-government and digital transformation projects, while enabling it to expand investment and business activities, making it a symbol of bilateral cooperation.

​The working trip reaffirmed Vietnam's foreign policy of proactive and active integration into the world, and multilateralisation and diversification of external relations. At a meeting with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representative agencies in New Delhi on September 13, PM Hung said that officials and employees working overseas must firmly grasp the Party’s new mindset and policies on foreign affairs as well as overseas Vietnamese affairs, including the Politburo's Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on overseas Vietnamese.
