RoK further stimulates tourism in Vietnam

The Korean Tourism Organisation (KTO) in Vietnam has stepped up tourism promotion activities to prepare for its reopening to international visitors in the context that COVID-19 vaccination campaigns have been deployed in many countries, including the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam.

Hanoi (VNA) –The Korean Tourism Organisation (KTO) in Vietnam has stepped up tourism promotion activities toprepare for its reopening to international visitors in the context that COVID-19vaccination campaigns have been deployed in many countries, including theRepublic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam.

The promotions have beencarried out through many activities and digital platforms, including an onlinetravel photo contest, and cultural promotion and tourism stimulation eventssuch as "Korean Culture Days 2021 in Quang Nam" in Hoi An ancientcity from April 10-11.
 
Many other activities arescheduled to be held in the framework of Korea Movie Day 2021, which willtake place in central Da Nang city and the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho onApril 17 and 18, and from April 24-25, respectively, and a festival to stimulate tourismdemand and introduce culinary culture in Hanoi on April 17 and 18.

KTO Chief Representative in Vietnam Park Jong-sun said he hoped these cultural events will contribute to increasing the interest and loveof Vietnamese people for Korean tourism in particular and the RoK in general.

The RoK has been carefullypreparing to welcome Vietnamese tourists and international friends as soon asthe COVID-19 pandemic is kept under control, he added./.

RoK, China top tourism sources for Vietnam in February

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has rolled out a tourism stimulus programme offering discounts and enhanced experiences for travellers. Many localities have also introduced fee exemptions and discounts at historical sites and tourist attractions.

Vietnam’s tourism industry poised for strong acceleration

Vietnam to waive visas for citizens from 12 countries

The resolution clearly states that citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland will be exempted from visas for a temporary stay period of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type and purpose of entry, on the basis of fully meeting the entry conditions as prescribed by Vietnam’s laws.
