Child Fund Korea (CFK), a professional child welfare organisation in theRepublic of Korea, will present 1,500 bikes to needy Vietnamesechildren under its programme to support children to school.
Mostof the beneficiaries are primary school pupils living in mountainousareas where they have to walk a far distance from home to school,averagely three to four kilometres. These bicycles will help them haveeasier access to education.
The present is donated by the KookminBank Financial Group (KB), which has carried out various socialactivities for needy children in many countries.
A CFK volunteergroup is expected to arrive in Vietnam on April 4 to present thebikes and join volunteer work in several provinces.-VNA
