The prospect of a match between a Brazilian football club and the Vietnamese national squad was discussed by the Brazilian Ambassador to Vietnam, Joao Mendonca Lima Neto, and Vietnam Football Federation officials.
The Brazilian Sports Minister, Julio Cesar, told the federation the Corinthians were willing to play a friendly.
The federation will organise the match, which could be among events marking the 20th year of diplomatic relations between the countries.
The possibility of developing a football school in Vietnam with Brazilian support was also discussed and Cesar will hold further talks when he returns to the country next month./.
