The Sheen Hok International Charitable Foundation was made its debut in Hanoi on May 15 and announced its charitable projects in Vietnam.

The foundation will focus its charitable work on healthcare and education, with the People’s Aid Coordinating Committee (PACCOM) as its major partner in Vietnam.

The same day, the fund held a gala diner to raise fund for its projects
Sheen Hok and PACCOM will work closely together to identify specific partners in each of its working areas.
In 2010 Sheen Hok will collect information on under-15 children with Amblyopia in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City and some other provinces.

The foundation expects to provide free surgeries to at least 200 poor children with Amblyopia in the above provinces and cities.

The cost for treatment of Amblyopia for each child, which is estimated 1,000 USD, including surgeries, transportation and food will be covered by the Foundation.


In addition, Sheen Hok plans to construct schools in needy areas, especially in mountainous and remote areas.
The budget for this activity to be determined later depending on the actual situation and capacity of Sheen Hok foundation./.
