Singapore agrees to share anti-corruption experience with Vietnam

Singapore is willing to share its experience in detecting and preventing corruption with Vietnam.
Singapore is willing to share its experience in detecting, handling andpreventing corruption with Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc was told at working sessions with Singaporean officials.

During his ongoing visit to Singapore as a guest of the “Friends ofLee Kuan Yew” programme, Deputy Prime Minister Phuc held talks withrepresentatives from Singapore ’s Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministryof Law, Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) and Public ServiceCommission.

The two sides discussed in-depth measures to combat corruption as well as law-building and enforcement.

Deputy PM Phuc confirmed Vietnam ’s determination to eradicatecorruption to maintain political stability and economic development.

The leader noted that the fight against corruption is associated withbuilding a state of law, reforming the State administration andimproving the efficiency of the whole political system.

He said Vietnam hopes to learn from Singapore’s experience in building an effective corruption control system.

He proposed Vietnamese and Singaporean administrative reform agenciespush ahead with signing a cooperation agreement in the foreseeablefuture.

Visiting the Vietnamese Embassy inSingapore , Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the staff to play a moreactive role in promoting the strategic partnership between the twocountries as well as actively supporting businesses to penetrate foreignmarkets.

He also visited Singapore Deputy PrimeMinister and Coordinating Minister of National Security Teo Chee Hean,and paid tribute to the late Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.-VNA
