Numerous festive activities will be held in the “lion head” country including the Chingay festival in February, the inauguration of an 8 kilometre “Jubilee Walk” historic art trail in November, and a national parade in front of the place where the independence was first declared in 1965, according to a list recently published by The New York Times.
Milan topped the list of global places to visit, buoyed by the 2015 World Expo to be held from May to October. The city expects to host 20 million vacationers during the expo.
Cuba and Philadelphia follow Milan in the list of must-see destinations. The New York Times said that Cuba will experience a sharp rise of the number of visitors as a result of its warming relations with the US, while Philadelphia was listed at number 3 for its transformation into “an urban, outdoor oasis”.-VNA
