Son La: illegal drug transporters arrested

The police of Song Ma district, the northern mountainous province of Son La, have detained two men for illegally transporting 10 cakes of heroin (about 3.5 kg).

Son La (VNA) - The police of Song Madistrict, the northern mountainous province of Son La, have detained two menfor illegally transporting 10 cakes of heroin (about 3.5 kg). 

The arrested are Song A Trang, 23, residing inPhieng Pan village, Mai Son district, and Giang A Tung, 20, in Na Nghiucommune, Song Ma district.

They were arrested in Le Hong Phong village, NaNghiu commune, Song Ma district on June 19. 

They confessed that they bought the heroin froma strange man in the border area and intended to sell to earn some profit.

The case is under investigation.
