Thai player wins world badminton champion title

Ratchanok, or“Nong May”, defeated Li 22-20 in the first game but lost 18-21 in thenext. She then recovered and won the final game 21-14, making history asThailand ’s first ever player to win the world badmintonchampionships. She made China ’s women’s singles championship recordstop at eight.

Nong May, 18, is also the youngest badminton player who won a world championship title.-VNA
