Thailand, Malaysia hold 24th joint military exercise

The 24th joint military exercise between the Malaysian Army and the Royal Thailand Army was officially launched on August 28 to strengthen military relations along the border between Satun province and Malaysia.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The 24th joint military exercise between the Malaysian Army and the Royal Thailand Army was officially launched on August 28 to strengthen military relations along the border between Satun province and Malaysia. 

This year, Thailand is hosting the joint military exercise, which will continue until September 6, 2018. 

It serves as a platform to foster a good relationship, in addition to enhancing the inter-connectivity between the Thai and Malaysian armies in supporting regional and global peace efforts. 

Presiding over the opening ceremony were the Commander of the Royal Thai Army's 5th Infantry Division, Maj .Gen. Krisada Pongsamart, and the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division of Malaysia, Maj. Gen. Dato Mohammad Ramli Binjar.-NNT/VNA
