Thai energy conglomerate PTT Public Company Limited has set a 5-year goal of expanding its service stations to about 200 new locations within the ASEAN region.

Mr Buranin Rattanasombat, PTT Vice President for International Marketing, disclosed that the company was planning to invest 3 billion baht to open more gas stations in ASEAN countries over the course of the next five years, or until 2018.
The current number of PTT stations in Cambodia of 16 is set to be raised to 40-45 while the 23 stations in Laos will be expanded to 65. The Philippines will also see the number of stations increase from 70 to 90 or more.

In the meantime, due to the flourishing investment scene in Myanmar, PTT has also set its eyes on investing more in the neighboring country. The oil giant already has one service station in Naypyidaw and is looking to open more in other parts, especially Rangoon, in the near future.-VNA
