Tourist destinations busy on National Day holiday

The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho welcomed more than 76,000 tourists during the three-day National Day holiday (September 2-4), up 60 percent year-on-year, according to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Mekong Delta city ofCan Tho welcomed more than 76,000 tourists during the three-day National Dayholiday (September 2-4), up 60 percent year-on-year, according to the municipalDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The holiday makers flocked to the My Khanh TouristVillage, the Southern Truc Lam Zen Monastery, the Cai Rang Floating Market andthe Ninh Kieu Wharf, among others.

The local tourism sector has made all-out efforts toensure security, safety and environmental hygiene for tourists, whileorganising a range of entertainment activities during the holiday.

The Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre also servedover 100,000 holiday-makers on September 2-3, doubling the figure recorded inthe same period last year.

Of the total, domestic tourists made up more than 60percent, said the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

During the holiday, about 50,000 vacationers flockedto the central province of Binh Thuan, including 3,000 foreigners, mostly fromRussia, Thailand, Germany, the Republic of Korea and the US.
Major tourist destinations in the central provinceof Quang Nam like Cham island (Cu Lao Cham), the world-recognized My Son Sanctuaryand Hoi An ancient town, and the Phu Ninh lake eco-tourism site, also drew alarge number of both domestic and international tourists on this occasion.-VNA

Quang Ninh boosts tourism with numerous events

The province will organise 170 cultural, sporting, and tourism events between April and September, with 24 at international, national, and provincial levels and 146 local activities, Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, told a meeting on April 1.

Hue kicks off Visit Vietnam Year 2025

Binh Thuan eyes more Korean tourists

According to statistics, in the first two months of 2025, Binh Thuan welcomed over 116,000 international visitors, up 32% year-on-year, with the RoK ranking third in terms of arrivals.
