Binh Thuan (VNA) - Trade and service enterprises in the central province of Binh Thuan have been permitted to resume operations from April 27 as the COVID-19 pandemic is largely under control, under a decision from the provincial People’s Committee.

Lottery agents and retailers; hotels and accommodation establishments; beverage shops, restaurants, bars, sports training areas, tourist attractions, and relic sites; and inter-provincial public passenger transport services can resume operations but must strictly abide by guidelines on social distancing and take relevant safety measures.

Tourist accommodation establishments wishing to re-open must notify the people’s committees of districts, towns and Phan Thiet city and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Health before resuming operations so that medical supervision measures can be implemented.

The provincial people’s committee has also requested localities to call on people to not go out if it’s not necessary and to continue social distancing measures.

Festivals, religious ceremonies, sporting tournaments, gatherings in public places and stadiums, unnecessary events, and non-essential business services are still prohibited in the province.
