As part of his tour to Vietnam, UK Prime Minister David Cameron attended several meetings between British and Vietnamese businesses at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) on July 30.

On the occasion, activities related to financial technology and investment aiming to promote cooperation between the two countries’ enterprises were organised at HOSE.

A contract was inked between the UK-invested Harvey Nash Vietnam Co. and Humax Joint Stock Company.

According to CEO of HOSE Tran Dac Sinh, the meeting on financial technology which focused on how to create consumer confidence and benefits in hi-tech financial environments was attended by representatives from the State Bank of Vietnam, the A Chau Bank, the Standard Chartered Bank, and prestigious Vietnamese businesses such as Mobifone, FPT Group, Dragon Capital, Nashtec and HOSE, along with UK firms.

Meanwhile, high-level representatives from the British Government, and potential investors and major Vietnamese companies discussed opportunities to invest into the UK and support for investors provided by the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).-VNA
