The second UNESCO Culture and Development Week will be held as part of the Quang Nam Heritage Festival from June 19-26.
The event will provide a good opportunity for management agencies, social organisations and domestic and foreign lawmakers to discuss issues related to culture and development, as well as ways to maintain sustainable development goals.
At the event, UNESCO and central Quang Nam province will announce the results of their cooperation over the past decade, which reflect the contributions heritage tourism has made to sustainable development.
A number of activities are scheduled during the week including an awards ceremony for a fine art contest, the inauguration of a tourist information centre in Hoi An and a display of relics from the UNESCO-recognised My Son sanctuary heritage site.
