VFF Central Committee convenes 7th plenum

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (seventh tenure) opened its seventh plenum in Hanoi on January 13.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (seventh tenure) opened its seventh plenum in Hanoi on January 13.

President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said thatthe meeting aims to review front work in 2013 and discuss orientationsfor 2014.

It is also in preparation for the VFF’s eighth congress, Nhan added.

He asked delegates to contribute their opinions on renovating contents and modes of the front’s activities.

The VFF will focus on bettering its role of imparting the people’saspirations and opinions to the Party and local authorities, he added.

Regarding the renovation of the front’s operationmodes, Nhan stressed the need to promote the combined strength of meansof communications, set up a system to collect the opinions of people athome and abroad on the situation of the country and localities, andimplement new measures to promote the role of religions and ethnicgroups.-VNA
