Jakarta (VNA) - New-age carrier Vietjet and Xanh SM, Vietnam’s pioneering service provider in all-electric mobility will team up to diversify convenient transportation services for residents and tourists, promote tourism and attract investment in Việt Nam and Indonesia.

This consensus followed a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two companies in Jakarta, Indonesia this week.

The comprehensive partnership aims to provide modern, eco-friendly and cost-effective travel experiences. Vietjet said, adding that it also underscores both companies’ shared commitment to building a green transportation ecosystem in Southeast Asia, contributing to sustainable development for regional and global communities.

Since launching its first route to Bali in 2019, Vietjet has consistently expanded its flight network between Vietnam and Indonesia, serving as a bridge to foster trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.

The airline has transported over 1.6 million passengers and operated more than 9,700 flights between Hà Nội, HCM City, and Indonesia’s Jakarta and Bali.

It currently operates four direct routes, with 80 flights per week between Vietnam and Indonesia./.
